DtET – Discover the Energy Transition

Discover the Energy Transition is sponsored by the MITEI (MIT Energy Initiative), whose mission is to develop low-and no- carbon solutions to efficiently, affordably, and sustainably meet global energy needs while minimizing environmental burdens, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and mitigating climate change. MITEI leads Institute energy education efforts, preparing future energy innovators, researchers, and policy makers to tackle the urgent climate crisis and build clean energy systems. MITEI fosters a strong student energy community through programs and opportunities including the Energy Studies Minor, energy-specific UROPs, the Undergraduate Energy Commons, and alternative energy field trips, as well as by supporting student energy and climate groups.

Participating in DtET FPOP will introduce you to some of the ways you can study energy and the climate crisis here at MIT, and to some of the people who share your passion.
