Parent Orientation Program

MIT Parent Orientation events (all virtual!) will take place from Friday, August 21 through Sunday, August 23. Our Parent Orientation events are a great way to get a glimpse of the many different experiences that your student will have an opportunity to explore at MIT.  We will host a series of panels that address various aspects of MIT life, including academics, health and safety, and student life. You will have the opportunity to meet (virtually!) other parents and families and ask questions of some of the administrators who specifically support programming for first-year students.  You will also have a chance to talk with Parent Connectors (parents of current MIT undergraduates) and upperclass students.

Please note: the President’s Convocation will be held on Monday, August 31 from 11-11:45am EDT via this weblink: http://web.mit.edu/webcast/convocation/f20/

Our PDF schedule of Parent Orientation events is now available.

Zoom links for sessions are available in the above PDF. If you have limited data/internet access, we invite you to dial number listed for your country on the Zoom International Dial-in Numbers page and enter the Meeting ID (the 10 or 11 digit number) provided for that event.

Pre-registration for the first virtual Parent Orientation event on Friday, August 21, "Student Support Resources for a Mostly Remote Fall Semester" is required. All other Orientation events will be open to all attendees.
