A week celebrating transfer students and the professionals who support them on their journeys.
Transfer Student Appreciation Weekend (October)
This weekend is dedicated to honoring your journey and the unique perspectives you bring to our community.
Weekend Highlights:
- Boat Cruise: Set sail with us for a scenic cruise, where you can enjoy the beautiful views and connect with fellow transfer students
- Transfer Student Appreciation Weekend Lunch: Join us for a delicious lunch filled with great food and even better company. It’s the perfect opportunity to share your stories as transfers and meet fellow transfer students in the MIT community.
- Jackets: As a token of our appreciation, transfer students will receive a jacket to commemorate this special weekend!

Transfer Student Ring Dinner (May)
This special evening is dedicated to celebrating your achievements and the incredible journey you’ve made during your first year at MIT. Join your fellow transfer students for a memorable dinner, great conversation, and a chance to reflect on your successes before the Brass Rat event.
