How will I be advised in my first year at MIT?

At MIT every undergraduate has an advisor. As a first-year student, you will be assigned a faculty or member of the instructional staff as your advisor. Advisors team up with an associate advisor (academic peer mentor) an upper-level student who brings an undergraduate’s perspective to the advising process.
