Assisting in the Dorms

Associate advisors strengthen the support network in MIT living communities. 

Under normal circumtances, serve as a resource to first-year students who live in their dorm and are highly visible with their AA door sticker.  Please note that the support that you can provide in your dorms is on hold due to the pandemic until further notice.

They may organize academic events to help first-year students. Since the culture of every dorm is unique,  support will play out differenctly based on their students’ needs.  We encourage those who live in FSILGs to also to get to know first-years affiliated with their organization.

The Office of the First Year will help you organize, fund and advertise any events that you host for first-year students. Contact Leslie Bottari if you are interested.
