First Year Pre-Orientation Programs (FPOPs)

First Year Pre-Orientation Programs (FPOPs) are optional experiences that allow students to explore a variety of interests before the start of the academic year. These programs focus on exploring academic or personal interests, building community, and familiarizing students with campus resources. Activities will vary across each program, but they are all designed to help students make early connections and get acquainted to campus before Orientation begins.

Applications will open on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 and are due on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at 5:00 PM. Applications are not first-come, first-served. All applications are reviewed at the same time.

Housing Fee
Students participating in an on-campus First Year Pre-Orientation Program (FPOP) will be charged a daily housing fee of $30 per day. The exceptions are students participated in Interphase EDGE and students who are participating in the FLIPOP program. Upon arrival on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, all FPOP participants will move into their assigned residence hall for the academic year.

Billing will be administered based on the date the student checks into their assigned residence hall. Charges for housing during an FPOP will be reflected in the Fall term bill on student accounts.
