Parent and Family Orientation

We have a hotel block from August 28th – September 4th for our parent and family members who are coming at the Hyatt. Please book a room via this link. Any available rooms for the nights you select will be visible to you. There is a limited number of rooms available each night.

This is the first day of Parent Orientation. Parents will be able to check in and speak with Orientation Leaders and some of the Office of the First Year staff to answer initial questions. This day is not heavy with programming as it is a major First Year Student Move In Day.

Please note: members of the Class of 2027 will be participating in other programming on campus while this cruise occurs – this event is just for parents/family members!

Monday is the last day of Parent Orientation with some more large scale events and sessions. The program will conclude by 4pm.

Each year, the First Year students take their class photo on the last day of Orientation. This is a great photo to hold on to for years to come. You may purchase a class photo at this link under “MIT Orientation”.

Please note: Photos will be delivered to our office for your student to pick up in the late fall.
